My students and I create a notebook in our Algebra & Pre-Algebra classes to house all the concepts we learn over the course of the year.  Throughout the year, we use this notebook as a resource when studying for unit tests and standardized tests. (i.e. SAT, PSAT, ACT)  I have each student purchase a 100-page composition notebook to house all our notes, example problems, activities, learning targets, and success criteria.  One type of resource we create and place in our notebook before an assessment is called a Concept Review Notes Page.  I hand out a Student Notes Page Template specific to the concept we learned (The 1st slide in the PowerPoint) and then have them take notes on it by following along with the rest of Concept Review PowerPoint.  I’ll also add more examples and problems on the notebook pages following this Concept Review Notes Page depending on the needs of the students.  

Below are the actual PowerPoint presentations I use when I teach the different concepts in my own class.  All the PowerPoints have the Student Notes Page, the final Notebook Concept Review Page, and all the step-by-step transitional slides in between the two slides when revealing the information during the lesson.  All lesson plan slides can easily be modified to your personal instruction strategies and pace.  You can check out and purchase all of my Concept Notes Page PowerPoints on Teacher Pay Teachers.  If you don’t see a concept you need, let me know and I can create it and add it.
